Adele and The Prodigy win at AIM Independent Music Awards

Adele and The Prodigy were among the winners at this year's AIM Independent Music Awards.

The ceremony, which was held in London last night (October 29), honours music released on independent record labels.

Adele, who has enjoyed a hugely successful past couple of years due to the release of her album '21', won the PPL Award for Most Played Independent Act award.

Dance act The Prodigy meanwhile, who headlined this year's Download Festival, were named Best Live Act.

Other winners on the night included Scottish star Edwyn Collins and Enter Shikari, who landed the Independent Album of the Year gong for their effort 'A Flash Flood of Colour'.
