Christina Aguilera to perform at Sandy concert

Christina Aguilera is performing at a charity concert to aid the victims of Hurricane Sandy tomorrow.

The American songstress will join a host of other artists at the benefit event including Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Sting and Billy Joel to support those affected by the terrifying storm that devastated the Northeastern areas of the US.

The special concert titled 'Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together', will air at 8pm ET and stream live on NBC Universal's networks.

All artists involved in the charity gig are connected to the areas hit by the hurricane.

Aguilera took to her Twitter page earlier this week to show her support to those affected by the natural disaster: "Sending my love and support to everyone on the east coast who's been affected. Thinking of u all. XoXtina (sic)."

Television host Matt Lauer will host the concert, with Brian Williams and Jimmy Fallon also making an appearance.

Inside TV explained: "Proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross, which is providing food, shelter, and other assistance to those affected by the hurricane."
