Comedian and TV star Alan Carr has revealed that he has met Adele's new baby.

The singer reportedly gave birth to her first child with partner Simon Konecki recently, but no official confirmation has yet been forthcoming.

Friend Jessie J let slip on Twitter that the birth happened in October, and it seems Alan Carr has been getting in on the act too.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the Chatty Man host said that Adele's son is "beautiful" but added that it is currently nameless. Carr said:

"He's beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I saw him on Wednesday. But I need to find out what his name is before I can get a gift – you can't sign a gift 'To X' now, can you?"

He continued: "He is lovely, really lovely. A beautiful boy and the two of them are getting on brilliantly. Really great."
