The Wanted admit nerves over Chris Brown collaboration

The Wanted have confirmed that they plan to work with Chris Brown - despite the singer being linked with domestic violence.

Brown was sentenced in 2009 for assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna and that incident has seemingly stuck with him ever since.

Speaking to the Metro, The Wanted's Jay McGuiness said that they hope to write some music with the 'Don't Judge Me' singer before the end of the year.

He admitted, however, that the group might get a negative reaction for teaming up with Brown and that they are "nervous" about the collaboration. He said:

"Chris Brown really wants to get in the studio with us and we're going to go out there before Christmas and we're going to sing and write."

He continued: "I think it's been really hard for him to shake it. I mean we'll possibly [get a backlash from fans]. He still gets a lot of flak for everything that's gone on. We are nervous but if the song's a good song it's our song as much as it is his as well but yeah it's something we're definitely thinking about."
