Janet Devlin calls for fans to fund debut album

Former X Factor finalist Janet Devlin has asked her followers to help fund her debut album using the funding platform PledgeMusic.

The 18-year-old singer is currently working on her first record and has been using a page on the PledgeMusic site to raise money for the studio time and production costs.

A message on her page explains: "By pre-ordering or ‘pledging’ for the album, either digitally or on CD, you’ll become a member of an exclusive group of pledgers who will be with me every step of the way! As a pledger you’ll receive exclusive video, audio and photo blogs from me, none of which will be available anywhere else."

On November 9, she told her Twitter followers that significant progress is being made already: "Thanks so much to everyone that's pledged so far ! can't believe we're on 35% already. You guys are Legend-wait for it-dary ;) x"
