Chris Brown signs with modelling agency

'Don't Wake Me Up' hitmaker Chris Brown has been snapped up by the Wilhelmina International Agency as a new model.

The superstar signed up to the artist division of the company in hopes of a future in fashion and beauty endorsements after he was famously dropped from his campaigns for U.S. pro-dairy group Got Milk? and Wrigley's chewing gum following his '09 arrest for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Director of Wilhelmina Men, Taylor Hendrich, said in an official statement: "Chris Brown is a multifaceted artist with a unique take on style, and we are excited to translate and extend his brand."

Earlier this week, Brown opened up about his forthcoming role in the new movie 'Battle Of The Year' and explained that the rehearsals were really intense:

"I've just done a movie called 'Battle Of The Year', it's like my first actual break-dancing movie that I've done. It's not just regular, conventional dancing - I really had to learn. I studied with a B-boy (street dancer)... he taught me for three months straight. I'm not arrogant and I like to learn! I don't know everything, there's always something to be learned."
