Coldplay hint at three-year hiatus

Coldplay have suggested that they're about to go into hibernation for the next three years.

The British group have been busy touring the world with their 2011 album 'Mylo Xyloto' and it seems that they will temporarily hang up their books when they have finished promoting the record.

Speaking at a show in Brisbane this week (November 21), Coldplay mainman suggested that the group will stop playing "big shows" for the next few years.

He said: "This is the last big show for three years or so. I don't want to stop."

They're not done just yet, however, with the band recently confirming a batch of shows in the US in December, including a gig with Jay-Z on New Year's Eve.
