Little Mix's Perrie Edwards says the perfect man should "keep you on your toes".

The blonde singer is currently dating One Direction heartthrob Zayn Malik, and has revealed what qualities she looks for in the ideal partner.

Little Mix - comprising Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall - all discussed the most annoying traits a potential suitor could have, with Pinnock revealing the "perfect man doesn't exist".

Thirwall confessed on TV show Loose Women: "There's nothing worse than a boyfriend who is just too nice," before Edwards added: "I think they've got to keep you on your toes. If they're too nice you do get bored but if they can stand up for themselves it's a bit more attractive."

The girl group are currently promoting their debut studio album DNA, with their second single - also titled DNA - showing a different side to the usually cutesy singers.

Thirwall explained: "The single is basically a love song with a bit of a darker twist. we wanted to show a different side to us as wings was very uplifting, very upbeat, so DNA has a bit of a darker side. It's kind of a reflection on the rest of the album too."

The popular band are always looking to improve on themselves.  

Nelson revealed: "I think looks-wise we're not really that bothered, but with performances and things like that we definitely strive for perfection," before Pinnock added: "We always pick ourselves apart."
