Lil Wayne announces rap retirementHip-hop heavyweight Lil Wayne has announced his retirement from rap. The international superstar is currently working on his tenth studio offering I Am Not A Human Being II and will drop the fifth instalment of Tha Carter series after that. Speaking to MTV News, Lil Wayne revealed what fans can expect from his much-anticipated album, claiming: "It's like a Carter V". When asked why he didn't just merge the two albums if they are so similar, the 30-year-old star replied: "Because I know y'all want me around for a little bit, and Carter V is my last album. Man, I've been rappin' since I was 8 years old. I'm 30 now, man. That's a long time, man." He added: "I signed my contract at 11, I went platinum at 14. I'm 30 now. Thank God I haven't put out an album that hasn't went platinum. To just keep it goin' like that, I think not only am I being greedy, I'm fooling myself to think that it will continue to be that great." Lil Wayne's next album is due for release on February 19 and he also has a number of other interests including his love for skateboarding and his clothing line. He continued: "When I love to do something, I'm fully focused on it and it only. And music sometimes is not that 'it.'"
