'Baby' sensation Justin Bieber recently performed at Canada's football Grey Cup during the half-time show, but was met with a hostile reaction from the sports fans at the event.

He treated the crowd to live renditions of 'Boyfriend' and his Nicki Minaj collaboration, 'Beauty and a Beat', but faced loud booing throughout both songs.

Bieber tweeted (November 26): "honored to perform for my country. #ProudCanadian . Good luck in the second half. thanks," before returning to the social networking site and adding "never walk away from a challenge".

He also shared a message sent to him by a fan that read: "You best believe Justin proved the crowd wrong, he did incredible. And the booing turned into cheering. That's how he do it."
