Toni Braxton hospitalised

R&B songstress Toni Braxton has been hospitalised in Los Angeles.

The Grammy Award-winning singer took to her Twitter page on Friday to reveal that she's been admitted due to her ongoing battle with Lupus disease.

Braxton was sure to let fans know that she will soon be leaving the hospital though.

She tweeted: "Hey guys, I'm in the hospital for health issues related to Lupus & Blood clots. I will be home soon...Thanks for all the love&support! (sic)."

Braxton's spokesperson confirmed her hospitalisation but didn't divulge any further details.

'Un-Break My Heart' star Braxton revealed she has Lupus, a potentially deadly autoimmune disease, two years ago.

The 45-year-old singer also suffers from a narrowing of the blood vessels in her heart.

Braxton - whose uncle died from the disease - revealed in a recent interview that doctors told her the Lupus diagnosis meant her career would likely be over.
