Spice Girls are "delighted" with 'Viva Forever!' musical after tonight's premiere

Iconic girl group the Spice Girls have praised the creators of 'Viva Forever!', the musical based on their career, after it premiered tonight (December 11) in London.

Celebrities and the show's team walked the red carpet at the Piccadilly Theatre earlier this evening for the launch and the 'Wannabe' superstars thanked writer Jennifer Saunders and producer Judy Craymer for making such a fantastic project come to life.

Speaking to Sky's Lucy Cotter, Geri Halliwell said: "What a privilege - the songs that we wrote a West End cast are now singing. We're truly blessed that everybody still supports the Spice Girls."

Sporty Spice, Melanie C, added: "We're so proud of this. Jennifer Saunders has written an incredible story and we have a wonderful cast. It's a great, great show."

Emma Bunton, Mel B, Melanie C and Geri Halliwell were all photographed together at the venue, but fifth member Victoria Beckham arrived separately with her husband and children.
