Carly Rae Jepsen lists 2012 highlights

Canadian songstress Carly Rae Jepsen has recalled her top moments of 2012.

The singer has enjoyed a hugely successful year after her catchy pop tune 'Call Me Maybe' topped the charts on an international scale.

Jepsen has worked closely with Justin Bieber and counts putting on a performance in Mexico City with the teenage heartthrob in June as one of the best experiences she's had so far.

Talking to MTV News about singing in front of 300,000 fans she said: "I thought, 'How am I going to sing?' I was kind of speechless by the amount of [fans]. But I went out there, sang 'Call Me Maybe' and they took it home. [The experience was] really cool."

Jepsen - who recently topped 'MTV's Best Song of 2012' poll for 'Call Me Maybe' - also gushed about taking home two trophies at November’s MTV Europe Music Awards.

She recalled: "I was really lucky to see some of my favourite acts [Fun and Taylor Swift]. And then I won two EMAs. I was not expecting that."

Jepsen also scored the award for 'New Artist of the Year' at the American Music Awards earlier this year.

She exclaimed: "I had such a great time that day. I was in such a good mood. The fact that I won was such a shock and such a welcome surprise."
