Conor Maynard talks studio nerves

British singer Conor Maynard was so nervous the first time he recorded in a studio, the results were "awful".

The 20-year-old star burst onto the music scene earlier this year with his debut single 'Can't Say No', and has since released hit singles 'Vegas Girl' and 'Turn Around' from his album 'Contrast.'

Despite impressing with his vocal ability, Maynard admits that he initially suffered from nerves when he performed for the first time in front of his team.

He explained to the Daily Star: "I've learned that music never goes according to plan. When I started making 'Contrast', I was awful because I'd never sung in a studio before. You could hear I was nervous, and it took some time to get comfortable singing in front of my producers.

He added: "That's how 'Contrast' came together in the first place. When I get into the studio again, I'll have to see what I'm feeling."
