James Arthur set to return to No.1

The X Factor winner's single is on course to top the charts once again this weekend (December 30).

James Arthur, who won the 2012 series, released the track 'Impossible' as his debut single and it hit No.1 in the UK chart upon release.

However, it was usurped by the Justice Collective's Hillsborough charity single 'He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother' when the Christmas No.1 was announced on Sunday (December 23).

It seems Arthur fans have been buying in force this week and the Official Charts Company have confirmed that he is set to return to the top of the chart.

'Impossible' has sold almost 125,000 copies this week, meaning that it has shifted 838,000 units so far.

That figure makes the record the fifth best selling X Factor debut single so far, having already sold more than the likes of One Direction's 'What Makes You Beautiful' and Joe McElderry's 'The Climb'.

Elsewhere in the chart, The Justice Collective have dropped to No.4, with Psy's 'Gangnam Style' taking up second place.
