Former Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts has joined the Dancing On Ice judging panel.

The blonde beauty - who recently came second on this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! - will sit alongside Jason Gardiner, Karen Barber and Robin Cousins for the hotly-anticipated 2013 TV competition.

31-year-old Roberts is thrilled to be a part of the popular celebrity ice skating show, and gushed to The Mirror: "I’m beyond excited. We have some fantastic names lined up for next year – and to work alongside [mentors] Torvill & Dean is such an honour. They’re absolute legends."

Pop star Roberts - who has no experience of ice skating - is said to have been chosen to judge on the successful ITV show thanks to her "dance and performance expertise".

Katie Rawcliffe - executive producer of the programme said: "I'm really pleased we have Ashley on board, Karen and Jason back and Robin as head judge. Between the four of them they bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in ice-skating, performance and dance and they are very vocal in their opinions."

Roberts is the third former member of the Pussycat Dolls to secure a place on a UK reality TV judging panel. Kimberly Wyatt has been a judge on Got To Dance for a few years, while Nicole Scherzinger added some pop star pizzazz to The X Factor UK this year.
