John Legend talks new album and dream collaborators

Popular crooner John Legend is set to return soon with his long awaited brand new album, entitled 'Love In The Future', and he has opened up about the record and what he wants to achieve with it.

Speaking to Fault magazine, for which he was photographed by Miguel Starcevich and styled by Avo Yermagyan exclusively for the Winter 2012-13 cover (shown below), Legend explained that he's been working with one of rap's frontrunners on the impending release and he's excited about the music they have made together:

"I'm working with Kanye West again, which has been amazing. I'm excited for everyone to hear it. I really wanted to make a modern twenty first century soul album and create something fresh and exciting yet organic modern and relevant."

The 'Ordinary People' sensation added that he still hopes to work with some of his inspirations at some point in his career and said: "I haven't collaborated with Beyonce or Adele both of whom I'm a big fan of."

He also gave some words of advice to aspiring musicians and confessed that there's no specific formula for a good song, but you usually know something is great as soon as you hear it: "Work hard, develop your own sound and learn the different processes of making music. A good song is a good song regardless of it's genre."
