Beyoncé has teased fans by posting what appears to be a photo of herself playing a saxophone.

The singer is currently preparing for a glitzy performance at this year's Super Bowl event next month and she is also said to be working on her new album.

The vocal star has recently posted a photo on Tumblr which looks to be of herself playing saxophone - but it is unclear whether the photo relates to her live show or her new album.

2013 looks set to be a good year for Beyoncé, with the singer also recently penning a mammoth deal with Pepsi that will see her become a brand ambassador for the drinks company.

Her baby Blue Ivy Carter meanwhile celebrated her first birthday on Monday (January 7).

Beyoncé will return to the live scene at the Super Bowl event, which is taking place in New Orelans on February 3.
