Destiny's Child announce first new and original music in 8 years

A post on Beyoncé's official Tumblr page shared today (January 10) confirms the return of Destiny's Child.

The message simply reads, "I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny's Child music in eight years" and is accompanied by a link where fans can pre-order the offering on Amazon.

The release, entitled 'Love Songs', is due for release on January 29 on Sony Legacy and can be purchased for $9.00 through the aforementioned online retailer.

It features one entirely brand new song, 'Nuclear', and a message sent to Destiny's Child's site explains that it was "produced by Pharrell Williams (who cowrote the track with DC's Michelle Williams, James Fauntleroy and Lonny Bereal), "Nuclear" features vocal production by Beyoncé and Lonny Bereal."

A stunning monochrome photograph of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams acts as the cover art for the cut and you can see it below.

Back in September last year, the ladies confirmed the release of a greatest hits album called 'Playlist', but no mention of any other fresh material had been circulated so this new announcement may come as a surprise to the group's fans.

The tracklisting for 'Love Songs' has been posted on the group's website and it is as follows:

1) Cater 2 U (2004 - Destiny Fulfilled)
2) Killing Time (1998 - Destiny's Child)
3) Second Nature (1998 - Destiny's Child)
