Emeli Sandé and Mumford & Sons lead 2013 BRIT Awards nominees

The list of nominees for the 2013 BRIT Awards has now been unveiled (January 10) and it shows that 'Next To Me' singer Emeli Sandé and Mumford & Sons are leading the pack, with three nods apiece.

Sandé is up for British Female Solo Artist, British Single and MasterCard British Album of The Year, while Mumford & Sons have been recognised in the categories of British Group, British Live Act and MasterCard British Album Of The Year.

'Busy' hitmaker Olly Murs also earned himself two nominations, namely for British Single (with 'Troublemaker') and British Male Solo Artist. Tweeting about the exciting news, Murs wrote: OH.MY.DAYS! Nominated for BEST BRITISH MALE @BRITAwards me & lads just all did massive CANNONBALLS into the pool.. #closetotears #geek"

The International Female Solo Artist will be a tough category this year with nominees including Alicia Keys, Cat Power, Lana Del Rey, Rihanna and Taylor Swift. 

Jessie J is up for British Single with 'Domino' as are Robbie Williams ('Candy'), James Arthur with 'Impossible', and Rita Ora ('Hot Right Now').

Meanwhile, One Direction, Muse and Robbie Williams have been confirmed to perform at the ceremony, which is due to be held on February 20 at London's O2 Arena.
