Justin Bieber sued by former bodyguard

Canadian sensation Justin Bieber has been slapped with a lawsuit from his former bodyguard, Moshe Benabou (pictured left in a grey suit behind the singer).

The security worker alleges that the 'Boyfriend' hitmaker struck him in the chest during an argument in October of last year (2012) and failed to pay him over $400,000 in overtime and vacation packages.

Papers for the case were filed on Thursday, January 10 and he is seeking compensation for unspecified damages for assault and battery and a total of $421,261 (£263,288) in extra unpaid wages.

Bieber has not commented on the lawsuit, but an attorney for Benabou named Ilan Heimanson gave a brief statement to the Associated Press, which reads:

"For nearly two years Mr. Benabou devoted himself completely to ensuring Mr. Bieber's personal safety. Mr. Benabou deserved, as does any employee, to be treated with respect, dignity and in accordance with the law. Unfortunately, he was not."
