Lady Gaga criticised for wearing gun bra

Lady Gaga has come under fire from an anti-gun group after wearing a bra with rifles attached onto it.

The singer was appearing on tour in Canada on Friday (January 11) when she sported the eye-catching under garment.

With gun laws in the US under close scrutiny following a recent school shooting in Connecticut, the bra has provoked a strong response.

Stop Gun Violence told The Sun that the bra was akin to "gun porn" and suggested that Gaga should pay more attention to the levels of influence she wields.

The group's spokesperson Ladd Everitt said: "Is the point of this gun porn? It's no different than a guy who poses with an assault rifle to look tough or send out a political message."

They continued: "You'd hope Lady Gaga would have a better sense of judgement. We would ask her to consider the influence she wields over many people and to use that power responsibly."

It's not the first time the 'Born This Way' star was worn a gun bra, having been pictured previously in a photoshoot sporting one, whilst her video for 'Alejandro' also features one.
