The cast recording from blockbuster 'Les Misérables' has topped the UK albums chart today (January 16).

The midweek update has shown that the soundtrack has now moved up 4 places and is currently at No.1, ahead of Emeli Sandé's 'Our Version Of Events', which has been pushed down a spot to No.2.

'Les Misérables' won 3 prizes at this year's Golden Globes, including the Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical title, and the film's popularity has been incredible since its recent release.

Everything Everything have a new entry at No.3 with 'Arc', A$AP Rocky's 'Long Live A$AP' debuted at 6 this afternoon, and Paloma Faith has made a new appearance in the Top 10 at No.9 with 'Fall To Grace', which has climbed 2 positions.
