Amelia Lily gets Girls Aloud advice

Former X Factor finalist Amelia Lily has gushed about the "positive" advice she received from chart-topping group Girls Aloud.

The blonde star enjoyed success with her debut single, 'You Bring Me Joy' last year when it peaked at No.2 in the UK Top 40.

Lily was taken aback when newly-reformed Girls Aloud praised her mature attitude and potential to be a successful artist.

Amelia revealed the five-piece had told her: ''Just enjoy it and live every day to the full. They all say I'm so young but I've got an older head on my shoulders and I'll do well with the attitude I've got.

She added: "It's great to hear such positivity from them."

Lily also added to OK! magazine that she had bumped into Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh while recording her debut album in Kent, England, explaining: ''Yeah, quite a few times. It's nice to see them and work in the same studio where they developed and found themselves.''
