Les Misérables soundtrack on course for second week at No.1

The Les Misérables cast recording has managed to cling on to the top spot on the UK albums chart for another week according to today's (January 23) midweek update.

The Official Charts Company explained that the album has a "clear lead" over its closest competitor, which is Emeli Sandé's 'Our Version Of Events' at No.2.

I Am Kloot's new record, 'Let It All In', has debuted this afternoon at No.5, 'Unorthodox Jukebox' from Bruno Mars has climbed 3 places to No.7, and Adam Ant has a new entry at 8 with 'Adam Ant Is the Blueblack Hussar in Marrying the Gunner's Daughter'.

Elsewhere in the albums chart Top 40, David Guetta has risen an impressive 11 places to No.28, the Original London Cast Recording of 'Les Misérables' has made an appearance at 40, and A$AP Rocky's 'Long Live Asap' is down 19 to 26.
