Lady Gaga has confirmed plans to record an album with veteran crooner Tony Bennett.

The unlikely pair have teamed up together in the past on the song 'The Lady Is A Tramp' but it seems they're going to work on a full record.

The duo performed the song at Barack Obama's inauguration ball on Tuesday (January 22) as the US President paid tribute to his staff.

Taking to Twitter after the event, Gaga expressed her excitement at heading into the studio with Bennett, revealing:

"And here's me and my handsome date, I simply cannot wait for our album together, he's my darling."

She also posted photos of the pair at the event, as well as an image of herself playing solo at the ball.
