Pop princess and former X Factor USA panelist Britney Spears has been crowned the 'Greatest Solo Artist of All Time' by Entertainmentwise in a new poll voted for by members of the public.

The site explains that the poll was taken over the course of a week, with factors such as tours and album sales taken into consideration, but Spears won with an astonishing 89.38% percent of the vote.

Other singers to be included in the Top 10 were Mariah Carey at No.2 (3%), Lady Gaga at 3 (2.17%), Michael Jackson at No.5 (1.19%), and Elvis Presley at 10 (0.02%).

Spears, meanwhile, is currently working on a new record following her split from fiancé Jason Trawick. She took to her official Twitter page yesterday (January 29) to share the remix of her collaboration with Will.i.Am and wrote:

"THIS is the Remix! Get the #ScreamandShoutRemixoniTunes. LET'S GO @iamwill @Hit_Boy @iamdiddy @WakaFlockaBSM @LilTunechi."
