PETA slams Beyoncé for python skin Super Bowl outfit

Animal rights organisation PETA has hit out at Beyoncé after she wore an outfit make from skins of several different animals during her Super Bowl half-time performance on Sunday night.

She took the stage on February 3 and delighted sports and music fans alike with her impressive live set, but her choice of costume, which was made by designer Rubin Singer, offended PETA as it included python skin, panelled iguana and leather elements.

A spokesperson for PETA explained to the New York Daily News that her skin-tight bodysuit may have looked fantastic, but the painful deaths of animals used to make it just aren't worth the fashion:

"We would take a bet that if Beyoncé watched our video exposes, she'd probably not want to be seen again in anything made of snakes, lizards, rabbits or other animals who died painfully."

"Today's fashions are trending toward humane vegan options, and Beyoncé's Super Bowl outfit missed the mark on that score."
