Foo Fighters rocker Dave Grohl recently stood in for TV chat show presenter Chelsea Handler on her 'Chelsea Lately' show and laid into pop princess Britney Spears.

Speaking during a quick-fire question and answer session with other guest panelists, Grohl opened a discussion about Spears' potential Las Vegas residency and joked that "there's nothing behind her eyes anymore".

After explaining that Caesar's Palace "said Britney is not among the top artists to be considered" for a residency, he then said that Planet Hollywood doesn't want her to perform there either because "any openings there have been filled by hypnotists."

He then added: "She just kinda seems dead inside, like there's nothing behind her eyes. Like there's nothing in her boobs anymore!"
