Madame Tussauds pays tribute to Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston has been honoured by Madame Tussauds with a number of new waxwork models.

The late singer, who passed away in February last year, has been immortalised in four new models that span different moments in her life.

Tussauds unveiled the models yesterday (February 7) in New York, with each of the models set to be displayed in cities around America.

Houston's sister-in-law said at the launch: "We were extremely honoured when Madame Tussauds approached us about doing four figures of Whitney from different points in her 30-year career. This is something we are excited to do for the fans."

The models, which are said to have cost $1.2 million in total, will go on display in Washington D.C., New York, Hollywood and Las Vegas.
