Ed Sheeran has admitted that his life has turned upside down in the past couple of years.

The singer-songwriter has enjoyed a gradual rise to fame in his homeland Britain and has made a splash in the US too with his debut album '+'.

Sheeran is due to perform one of his songs with Sir Elton John at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 10) and rehearsing for the show has put his life into perspective.

Speaking on Twitter, the 'Lego House' star said that his life is "nuts" at the minute, saying:

"What a rehearsal! Looking forward to playing on Sunday...My life has become so surreal, this is nuts."

He added simply: "Excited."

The Brit star has recently been undertaking a number of promotional activities in the US, visiting radio stations and media outlets for interviews.
