Planet Hollywood confirms it's "in talks" with Britney Spears for possible residency

Pop superstar Britney Spears may be headed to Las Vegas for a live residency after all.

Speculation about the potential contract has been growing over the past few weeks and while nothing has been confirmed as of yet, Caesars Entertainment - which owns the Las Vegas casino Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino – issued a statement today (February 8) confirming that it is discussing plans with the hitmaker:

"Caesars Entertainment is continuously working to redefine the Las Vegas entertainment landscape. As a pioneer of the modern Las Vegas headlining residency model, Caesars Entertainment regularly engages in conversations with today’s top artists to perform at any number of our Las Vegas resorts."

"We can now confirm the company is actively engaged in discussions with Britney Spears' representatives regarding a potential headlining residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. No further statement will be made at this time.”

Earlier this month, Spears hinted at a residency herself after tweeting a message to her dog, Hannah, to tell her that canines aren't allowed to gamble in Las Vegas.
