Whitney Houston to be remembered at GRAMMYs: 'We'll show everyone her talent still lives with us'

Record producer and music executive Clive Davis has vowed to do something momentous in honour of the late Whitney Houston at this coming weekend's GRAMMY Awards party.

Houston, who died just hours before last year's event, was a friend of Davis' and he explained to People magazine that he plans to celebrate her life and talent at his legendary pre-GRAMMYs party this Saturday (February 9):

"[I'm] going to do something to remind everybody that her talent lived among us and in so many people."

CBS is also set to air a programme about the 'I Will Always Love You' icon and Davis confessed that it was important to him that it captured exactly what she was all about: "I wanted her special to be meaningful and touching. I wanted everyone to remember why she was the greatest in her generation."

"I'm a great believer in carrying the torch and making sure that her legacy is as glittering as it should be. I'm very involved in that, emotionally and musically."
