Rihanna's pal defends Chris Brown relationship

Rihanna's friend has defended the star's decision to get back with her violent ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

The stunning star has faced an abundance of criticism for letting Brown back into her life in recent months.

Rihanna - whose romance with Brown ended in 2009 when he assaulted her - is ignoring the disapproval surrounding her relationship, and confirmed her controversial decision to get back with Brown in a magazine interview last month.

'Basketball Wives' star Evelyn Lozada, who famously left husband Chad Johnson after he assaulted her, has jumped to Rihanna's defence, saying people should respect the star's decision.

Speaking to Celebuzz she said: “Their incident happened years ago and he’s [Chris] been though a lot because of it as well. And if he’s changed and gotten the help that he was supposed to get, I don’t see anything wrong with it.

She added: “I feel like if it works for you, then great. If he’s gotten help and changed then even better...That’s her life and I feel like that’s another reason why I love and respect Rihanna. She lives her life [and it’s] hard to do that when so many people have an opinion. We don’t know what goes on behind closed doors."
