James Corden makes light of Adele 2012 cut-off at BRITs

BRIT Awards host James Corden has poked fun at last year's ceremony mishap which saw an Adele acceptance speech cut short.

The awards ceremony hit the headlines last year after interrupting Adele's speech as she collected the Best Album gong due to time constraints.

This provoked the talented singer to leave the stage sporting the middle finger, with the show's producers hit with criticism.

Corden, who also hosted last night's (February 20) event, made light of last year's incident, saying when introducing Taylor Swift:

"Here's a global superstar who was once famously interrupted at an awards ceremony. Well that doesn't happen here. Not on my watch. Not anymore."

Adele also joked about last year's mishap in a pre-recorded acceptance speech for her British Single award, before Corden said:

"She definitely finished. She didn't say anything else - check the tape. She's 100% finished? OK."
