Irish heartthrob Niall Horan has become the second member of boyband One Direction to pass the 10 million Twitter followers mark.

He reached the impressive milestone today (February 25) and is now just behind singer Harry Styles, who has 11.1 million fans on the social networking site. Writing about the achievement, Horan thanked everyone for the continued support:

"Yesssss! 10M followers! Massive thank you guys! Love you all."

He also explained that he had an "amazing" weekend thanks to the shows he played with the rest of the lads: "London that show was incredible last night! Like couldn't believe how crazy you guys were! Amazing night! A great weekend of shows all round"

Louis Tomlinson is currently the third most-followed member with 9.2 million, Liam Payne is hot on his heels with 9.1 million and Zayn Malik has 8.1 million followers.
