Conor Maynard: 'The experiences I've had will make my second album more mature'

20-year-old singer Conor Maynard has revealed that his sophomore album will be strongly influenced by his rise to fame and the experiences he's had since becoming a well-known star.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the 'Can't Say No' hitmaker explained that while his debut record focused on girls and romance, his follow up will be more personal and grown up:

"Touring has given me new experiences to write about. 'Contrast' was about girls. This will be about how my life has changed - both the cool and horrible ways."

He also recently admitted that he is aiming to work with serious singer-songwriters in the future, which he hopes will give more emphasis to his vocal ability: "I want to work with singer/songwriters. I'm hoping to work with Ed Sheeran or John Mayer."

Maynard added: "The first album was very much about the big up-tempo numbers and now it's time to get into something a bit more intimate and acoustic, to really show my voice."
