Morrissey pulls out of 'Kimmel' slot because of other "animal serial killer" guests

Iconic rocker Morrissey has cancelled his scheduled performance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' because the other guests confirmed to appear are "animal serial killers".

He was due to play live on tonight's show (February 26), but has decided to decline the invitation after discovering that the cast of 'Duck Dynasty' would also be joining him.

'Duck Dynasty' is a reality programme that follows the livelihood of a group of people who sell duck hunting products and as an animal rights activist, Morrissey confessed that he couldn't commit to 'Kimmel' because of what they stand for. He issued a statement on his decision and explained:

"As far as my reputation is concerned, I can't take the risk of being on a show alongside people who, in effect, amount to animal serial killers. If Jimmy cannot dump Duck Dynasty then we must step away."

A representative for Morrissey added: "Morrissey is thankful for being invited to perform on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' tomorrow, February 26. However, he cannot morally be on a television program where the cast members of 'Duck Dynasty' will also be guests. Morrissey would be honored to play the show, if 'Duck Dynasty' were removed."
