One Direction star Harry Styles suffered an embarrassing moment whilst on stage in Glasgow on Tuesday (February 26).

The popular boyband were performing at the city's SECC venue when two shoes were pelted onto the stage as the group spoke to the audience.

One landed innocently enough on the stage out of harm's way, with Niall Horan exclaiming: "Woah, we just got a shoe thrown at us."

However, a second shoe managed to wallop Styles right in the private parts, causing the singer to fall to the ground.

It's unclear whether he was milking the incident - which was caught on camera - as he writhed on the stage in agony, but he seemed fine enough to continue his duties soon after.

Niall Horan joked about the incident: "So that's what you meant by welcome to Scotland?"
