Harry Styles thanks NME after winning Villain of the Year award

Harry Styles has thanked NME after winning their Villain of the Year award.

The music magazine hosted their annual awards ceremony last night (February 27) and One Direction were honoured for all the wrong reasons.

Styles won the Villain award whilst the group as a whole picked up the Worst Band accolade for a second year running.

Taking to Twitter after the ceremony, Styles said:

"And thank you to @NME for my award tonight. Gotta take the rough with the smooth eh?"

One Direction meanwhile beat Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Alt-J, Muse and Mumford & Sons to land the Worst Band title.
