Adele to receive Madame Tussauds waxwork

Adele is to feature as a new waxwork at Madame Tussauds.

The Grammy-winning 'Rolling In The Deep' singer will join the likes of fellow pop stars Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé and Rihanna in being immortalised in wax at the famous London landmark.

Madame Tussauds London PR manager Nicole Fenner said of the new aquisition: "Adele is the perfect addition to the music line-up here in London. She's one of the world's hottest properties right now and one of our most requested personalities.

"In fact, we've seen a huge increase in requests for her figure since 'Skyfall' was released and the timing seems perfect to honour her after such phenomenal success with the song. She is one of the most influential British female artists and we know she is going to be a huge hit with our guests alongside our other pop greats. We're very excited to welcome her to Madame Tussauds London."

The figure is currently set to be unveiled in July at Madame Tussauds museums in the capital and Amsterdam.

Adele was awarded with a 'Best Original Song' Oscar for her James Bond theme 'Skyfall' at the 85th Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (February 24).
