Jake Bugg has responded to Louis Tomlinson after the One Direction star had a go at him on Twitter.

As previously reported, the 'Kiss You' man tweeted Bugg directly after the indie singer criticised One Direction in an interview.

He said: "Hi @JakeBugg do you think slagging off boy bands makes you more indie?"

Bugg has now hit back at Tomlinson's tweet, telling the Daily Star:

"They're here to look good and I'm here to write songs."

He continued: "Instead of tweeting people who don't like your music, why don't you go and write a tune?"
