'R.I.P.' songstress Rita Ora has slammed her former lover for detailing their split on Twitter - claiming people should be checked for "mental stability" before using the site.

Reality TV star Rob Kardashian took to the social networking site in December to blast his ex for "cheating" on him. Kardashian continued with a tirade of now-deleted posts slamming the songstress on the social networking site following their split.

Ora has kept silent on the split until now, explaining: “When you are involved with someone for a while and they decide to express their feelings to the public, well, that’s not my personal way of therapy but I guess everyone takes split-ups differently. You should have to sit an exam before you go on Twitter. To see if you’re mentally stable.

She added, according to The Sun: "I never actually thought it was a relationship in all honesty. I never mentally defined it as boyfriend/girlfriend. When I split up with him I said ‘It’s because I’m never there, I don’t know how to do it.’ That’s all I said... then the rest happened.”

Meanwhile, Ora has been forced to cancel Australian tour dates because she’s lost her voice.

Apologising to fans on Twitter the star wrote: "I woke up this morning with no voice. I hate this. I hope you forgive me. Without you I’d be nothing.”

She added: “Scariest thing for any artist. When their instrument doesn’t work you can’t help but worry (sic)."
