Arctic Monkeys to release new album this year

Arctic Monkeys have confirmed plans to unleash a new record in 2013.

The indie group's last album came in the shape of 2011's 'Suck It and See', which gave the Sheffield quartet their fourth UK No.1.

Speaking to NME, drummer Matt Helders revealed that their next full release would come out in "2013" - and when questioned whether it would definitely be coming out this year, he said:

"Well, we'd be stupid if we made a 2013 album and released it next year."

He added: "There's no time deadlines or anything like that for release. We're just getting back into it, because it always takes a while to get back into it."

Arctic Monkeys' first album came 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not' came out in 2006 and gave the group instant success.
