Geri Halliwell shares London Underground journey: 'I feel liberated!'

Spice Girls star Geri Halliwell stepped into the shoes of your average Londoner earlier today (March 13) and travelled on the London Underground.

The singer decided to take the tube instead of using a car after an impressive 17 years of avoiding public transport and was so pleased with her experience that she shared the whole journey on social networking site Twitter, and even gave fellow city dwellers tips on how to get the most out of the trains.

She wrote: "Loved it!!i'm a Londoner! I'm liberated!! Forgive me for being a brat:- after 17 years & yesterday's 2 hrs of traffic-lets save time & money-the tube!"

Halliwell then uploaded a series of photographs, documenting her brief trip (shown below), and returned to Twitter with some advice for other tube users:

"Tube tip - doors stops at platform entrance,or below sign ,more seats at end carriage.oh & it's not smelly just saying. Tube tip - stand by platform entrance / or sign tube door more likely to stop there, oh & it doesn't smell!"
