Reggie Yates defends Jessie J's outspoken nature: 'I don't think I'd call her a diva'

Presenter Reggie Yates has spoken out about Jessie J's bold personality and hit out at those who claimed she behaved like a 'diva' during her time on 'The Voice'.

Speaking to Now! magazine, the personality explained that she's one of the few celebrities who will speak her mind and stand up for herself, which can attract negative attention:

"She's an outspoken character. I don't know if I'd call her a diva. I think she speaks her mind and isn't scared to say what she thinks in the moment. And in this day and age when everyone is so nicey nicey, that takes balls. That doesn't make her a bad person - it's just how she thinks."

Yates added that he would never expect her to change or be more docile because of how she's perceived, and loves that she sticks to her guns: "She's an outspoken character. I don't know if I'd call her a diva. I think she speaks her mind and isn't scared to say what she thinks in the moment. And in this day and age when everyone is so nicey nicey, that takes balls. That doesn't make her a bad person - it's just how she thinks."
