Italian Justin Bieber fan bullied after being picked to go on stage with the superstar

A teenage girl who was recently picked to go on stage and be serenaded by Justin Bieber has been forced to shut down her social networking sites after fans threatened to 'throw her down the stairs'.

The Italian youngster attended his concert in the country on Saturday, March 23 and was overjoyed to have been selected as Bieber's 'One Less Lonely Girl', but the excitement was short lived after other jealous followers targeted her and sent her online abuse.

Italian news site Corriere.it explains that the girl attended the gig with a friend, who was more into the 'Boyfriend' superstar than she was, and even tried to let the friend on stage in her place but wasn't allowed: "I was in the stands, with my friend and his sister. At one point I got a woman who grabbed me and said to follow her. When I explained what I had to do, I asked her if she could pick up my friend, fierce fan of Justin Bieber. But she said no, they had chosen me."

The girl's mother told the news publication that she's had to cancel all of her social networking sites because of the vicious verbal attacks and has even had her phone taken away in fear of more bullying: "I never imagined to see a little girl in tears because you chose to go on the stage. I do not understand what he did wrong. My daughter is traumatized. I just hope that this incident does not leave a mark. Of course I'm going to report it to the police."
