Justin Bieber's pet monkey "detained at airport"

Justin Bieber's pet monkey has been seized at a German airport because he didn't have the correct paperwork to take it into the country.

A customs spokesman confirmed to Sky News that the monkey, which is believed to have been given to the singer for a 19th birthday present, was quarantined at Munich airport.

It is reported that Bieber didn't have the correct paperwork to allow him to take the pet into Germany on a plane.

The incident is said to have taken place on Thursday (March 28) as the singer flew in from America to resume the Europe leg of his 'Believe' tour.

The news is the latest negative headline to hit Bieber, with the singer enduring a tough time in the UK recently on his tour.
