Selena Gomez played with "personal experiences" on new album

Selena Gomez has revealed she played with her "personal life experiences" on her new album.

The singer-and-actress has been working on her hotly-anticipated release for much of the past year.

In a teaser clip from a full interview with Ryan Seacrest about her new music, Gomez revealed what fans can expect from the record.

Seacrest asks in the preview - set to air on April 8: “The buzz surrounding the entire album is very, very good with insiders saying it’s loaded with hits and introduces a more mature sound for Selena."

According to Hollywoodlife.com the stunning star explained: "I really like making music to make people dance, so that was really fun to kind of mess with and then obviously, experiencing things in my personal life the past two years that I got to play with and write songs to — that was really fun.”

The songstress' new single 'Come & Get It' will be released on April 8 and the 'Spring Breakers' star has been teasing fans on Twitter about its imminent drop.

Taking to the social networking site last night she said: "I wanted to create something fun, sassy and playful...#3daysuntilcomeandgetit (sic)."
