Andrew Lloyd Webber has bought the rights to 'School of Rock' movie

Musical legend Andrew Lloyd Webber has revealed that he recently secured the rights to the popular 2003 movie 'School of Rock', which starred rocker Jack Black.

The theatre producer told Canada's CBC Radio that he is excited to transform the film (pictured below) into something he can put on in London's West End because it's a great story with some brilliant opportunities for songs:

"Another thing that I've just got the rights to that I am very excited about is that movie 'School of Rock.' There may be songs for me in it, but it's obviously got songs in it as it stands. (How great) a musical about kids playing the guitar!"

The film's official soundtrack included music by the Ramones, Stevie Nicks, The Who and The Black Keys.
